Cat rescuer devotes her life to saving 1,000 stray cats, gives them her entire house, and then turns her property into a cat sanctuary: 'That’s not a house, that’s a full-on cat kingdom'

We've always said that we would start a cat sanctuary if money was of no consequence. You can check, we've written it in at least four other posts. Nothing would make us happier than opening our homes and hearts to all of the fuzzy felines who need our help. We would buy a mansion, make every room a cat-centered room (imagine the crazy cat trees we could buy) with a different theme (for variety, of course). Sure, we would have hairballs the size of kitchen tables, but we would also sleep surrounded by cats every night, and if that's not the ultimate cat-lover's dream, we're not sure what is.

It turns out that one woman is actually living our dream, where she devoted her life to rescuing stray cats. She even went as far as to turn her house into a cat sanctuary, making the whole property a safe space for a giant colony of rescue cats that she's saved over the years. She also houses dogs in this sanctuary, and that's great, but we're really here for the cats. You can even visit her house and see all the kitties!     No_Truck399 Okay, some much needed context: this is a cat SANCTUARY. Homeless and feral cats come and go as they please, and the owner's mission is to place as many cats in permanent homes as possible. She is essentially caring for an extremely large stray colony. These are NOT her cats. She also helps dogs. :)

    Astramentis_ Ragdoll I've been to this facility, no one is living in the house except the kitties. There are actually a few other structures in place for other kitties who need to be kept separated for health or other reasons. There is staff on site for adoption and visiting. I spent time walking around and giving treats to all these cute babies! It's really an amazing place~

  • Can we organize a massive sleepover with all of these cats? If so, would you join us? We don't even need a bed; we can just curl up on the floor and let the cats come snuggle around us while we sleep. That sounds like the best sleep we would have had in years.

  • We're not sure how much her neighbors love the 1,000 cats in their neighborhood, but on the other hand, she's doing an ameowzing thing. All of these cats won't cause more trouble in their area because she has probably TNR'ed all of them. And plus, we bet that there are no pests anywhere around their houses anymore.
